Privacy Policy
Linea turns your Strava activities into a dynamic, beautiful live wallpaper directly on your Mac desktop. At Linea, your privacy is our priority. We designed this application to run primarily on your local machine to minimize data collection.
1. Data We Collect
When you connect your Strava account, Linea securely reads your activity history to draw your custom routes. Specifically, Linea retrieves your Strava athlete ID, first name, last name, and activity data including start dates, total distance, and summary maps.
2. Local Storage
Linea is designed with privacy in mind; data stays on your device. Your authentication credentials and processed activity data are stored locally on your Mac. Your athlete name, athlete ID, and display preferences are saved securely on your device. Linea does not store your workout history or location data on any server managed by us. To keep your wallpaper up to date, Linea sends your Strava athlete ID to our sync service so it can tell the app when new activities are available, and the Strava login flow passes through that same service to complete authorization.
3. License Verification
When you activate Linea, the license key you enter is sent to Gumroad, our payment processor, to confirm that your purchase is valid. The app re-checks this key with Gumroad occasionally. Gumroad's handling of that data is governed by Gumroad's own Privacy Policy. The license key and the date of the last check are stored locally on your Mac.
4. Disconnecting and Deleting Data
Clicking "Logout" in the Linea menu bar immediately terminates your session. The logout process automatically deletes your local credentials, removes cached data, and clears your athlete information from the app. We also recommend revoking Linea's access in your official Strava Account Settings to ensure remote access is fully terminated.
5. Third-Party Services
Because Linea uses the Strava API, your use of the app is also subject to Strava's Privacy Policy. We do not control how Strava collects or manages your data on their platform. Strava may monitor and collect API usage data under the Strava API Policy.
Terms of Service

Your use of Strava's services remains subject to Strava’s own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
3. User Responsibilities

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. Linea makes no warranties, expressed or implied, regarding the accuracy, reliability, or uninterrupted operation of the application. In no event shall the developer of Linea be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of your use or inability to use the application.
